In my last post I said that the inch of snow we got a few weeks ago would probably be the only snow of the season.
I was wrong.
On Tuesday morning it started snowing. Our school system had already called for an early dismissal because of the impending snow storm. It didn't snow for very long or too much and the ground was too warm so it started melting. However, because some places did get quite a bit of snow more south and it was supposed to start snowing early Wednesday, school was cancelled. And it snowed a lot on Wednesday.

Josh got to work from home that day and we obviously took time to play.
Chili loved her first real snow!
The snow stopped that evening for a while and sleet came in to the mix. From what we saw/heard on the news, some kind of wintry precipitation happened most of the night. Therefore, no school on Thursday either and Josh got to stay home again. When I woke up Thursday morning there was freezing rain coming down but that quickly turned into fast, heavy snow and didn't stop for a few hours.
Naturally the best time to take the dogs for a walk!
Walking in the "blizzard" was pretty fun. By 11:00 when we got back from the walk, school was cancelled for Friday as well. So we played in the snow for the majority of the day.

snowball fetch - Chili's new favorite game.

I just love the trees in the snow.

our snowman, Tim Tesnow.
Obviously we had a lot of fun acting like kids all day, making snowmen, throwing snowballs, running in the snow with the pups, drinking hot chocolate, and I even tried to make a snow angel.
It was one of the best days I've had in a long time!
Friday morning was Valentine's Day and it was so nice to have an unexpected day off to spend with each other. At this point we had not left the house (besides the dog walk) since Tuesday evening. I was going a little stir crazy and made a cheesy Valentine's breakfast ;)
We finally ventured out Friday evening after both of us working most of the day to get ingredients for a shrimp alfredo Valentine's dinner, wine, flowers, and chocolate. Huge piles of snow were scattered all over the parking lots from snow plows. It was a crazy sight.
The dinner was delicious and we watched The To Do List with Laura. It was pretty funny!
The pups are still exhausted from their days in the snow. After warmer temps and sun on Friday, yesterday, and today, the snow is all starting to melt. We now practically have a lake in our backyard. It is sad to see the snow go, but now I am ready for spring.
I looked at the forecast and it is supposed to be in the 70s Wednesday.
:)
I am finishing up some stuff for school (I have a 2 day workshop to attend Monday and Tuesday, so I will literally be out of school for a week), then we have plans to go to the gym, Lowes, and the grocery store. Going back to reality is never fun - Happy Sunday!

I am so jealous of all that snow! Love and miss you guys:)
