Well, went almost another month without posting, whoops!
The first month of the new year was a pretty good month. I ran/worked out a few days a week which is a good start - I even went to the gym before work one day! Going to try to do this again tomorrow and hopefully I can start it as a habit (it is just so hard to wake up so early!) Started watching Breaking Bad, which is an amazing show. I helped my dad frame the outside of the new door. The inside still has to be done, so no pictures yet. Had some unusually cold weather and several delayed school days. And we got our first (hopefully not only, but probably) snow of the season!
It was maybe an inch of snow, but we didn't have school for 2 days!
I love snow, I think it is so beautiful.
My parents are in New Jersey visiting my brother and my mom sent me a picture of a TON of snow they got today. Sometimes I want to live up north!
Of course yesterday it was sunny, beautiful, and almost 70 degrees. We have the weirdest weather.
But it made me so ready for spring!
Now for the house part of this post: our downstairs half bath.
This is what it looked like when we moved in:
Then we painted it the deep red-ish purple color we have in our living room, added dark shades (from my sister) and a dark toilet seat (can't find any pictures of it!), but after months and months of our bathroom seeming so dark, I knew I wanted a change to brighten it up.
I decided on a grey and yellow theme.

We sanded the cabinets, stained them, and added new hardware.
We also bought a special paint kit to clean, prime, and paint the sink. It was intense - we had to open all the windows and wear masks when working with the products!
I think the only thing we have left to do is caulk around the sink and we should be completely done! For now. I would like to get new floors (everywhere downstairs) and a new mirror, but for now we can live with it.
Josh recorded some of the puppy bowl after the lame-o super bowl last night, so he wants me to come watch it. He claims it is hilarious. Hopefully going to bed at a decent hour to get up at 5am for the gym! Good thing I'm already exhausted.
puppy love for the puppy bowl!
